Written and Directed by AL and AL Appropriating Richard Hamilton's 'Just what is it that makes todays homes so different, so appealing?', AL and AL's Home Theatre restages the domestic space in the 21st century with a blue screen performance studio. As technology through the social network transformed our homes into media centres, broadcasting and networking representations of ourselves, the Home became a Theatre of the mediated self. 'We draw ever closer to the surface of the screen, our gaze is, as it were, shown across the image. We no longer have the spectators distance from the stage - all theatrical conventions are gone. That we fall so easliy into the screens coma of the imagination is due to the fact that the screen presents a perpetual void that we are invited to fill.'
